IT S’MORE FUN IN THE ADIRONDACKS
8:00 – 9:30 am Sign-in, bib-pickup, waxing
9:30 – 9:45 Coaches/Parents Meeting
10:00 -11:30 Freestyle Racing (15-second interval starts)
10:00 U14 Girls and Boys
10:20 U12 Girls and Boys
10:40 U10 Girls and Boys
11:00 U8 Girls and Boys
11:20 U6 Girls and Boys
Hot Chocolate and Hot Coffee will be available for all throughout the weekend
12:00 -12:45 Lunch : Pizza will be provided for participants and families. Feel free to visit the Chalet for a variety of hot food choices.
12:30 S’mores making by the fire pit
S’more fun on skis begins at 1:00 pm
On-Snow activities (classic or skate) include:
1:00 Tour de Ski-treats non-competitive: Ski the trails with family and friends and along the way enjoy yummy treats. Head out on trails from the starting area/pit of cross country trails
1:30 Sprints: BKSL youth, siblings, and parents sprint a couple of 100 meters in heats. Location TBA
2:00 Paint Ball Biathlon: short course on rifle safety and shooting paintballs at targets. (ski-shoot-ski-shoot-ski) meet at the start/finish area
2:00 Ski-orienteering -check your map reading skills with a buddy (families can participate in this activity) meet near the start/finish area

Sunday January 24
8:30 – 9:30 am Check-in, bib pick-up, and warmup.
9:30 – 9:45 Coaches/Parents Meeting
10:00 -11:30 Classic Race Mass start
10:00 U14 Girls and Boys
10:30 U12 Girls and Boys
10:45 U10 Girls and Boys
11:00 U8 Girls and Boys
11:20 U6 Girls and Boys
11:45 Hodge Podge Relay: join or create a team for this freestyle relay. Team sign-up sheets in Yurt at bib pick-up. No team, no problem, we will get you on a team. Teams of 4 include at least one adult/older sibling and at least two BK youth who are not in the same age class. Costumed teams will receive a time credit (Costume ideas:Loggers, campers, paddlers, fishermen,hikers, anything Adirondack themed).
12:30 Hot dogs/Chips/Cupcakes will be provided for participants and families.

A few notes:
The parking lot at the mountain currently is a “muddy mess”. Please pay attention to McCauley Mountain employees for parking instructions once you arrive
The Nordic Yurt is where our bib/packet pickup is located
Cubbies in the yurt may be used for your bags and coats.
Bathrooms are located in the chalet, there will be a portapotty located near the Yurt for your convenience
No electrical outlets for waxing, please plan ahead
We will have an open firepit for roasting marshmallows for s’mores, please be safe around open flames. Keep a watch on your children!
